Dry wall plastering involves mixing cement compounds to apply a creamy smooth layer of plaster cement, which acts as a bonding material.
We use this to produce decorative features such as archways, bulkheads, decorative ceiling panels and ornate ceilings (ceiling centres).
We also use it for plaster repair work, patch work, filling holes and cracks. Once the compound is dried, we can sand it to a smooth finish.
Our creative approach to plastering means we can often suggest different ways to achieve the appearance you desire.
Cornices are popular with home owners, architects and interior designers. They range from large, ornate or art deco styles to modern, clean styles.
We can supply and fix and repair all types of cornices.
We are experienced with a variety of suspended ceilings including grid ceilings, set ceilings and acoustic ceilings.
Grid ceilings are quick and easy to install. They are cost-efficient and offer easy access for electrical or air conditioning work.
Set ceilings are fixed, sanded and painted to give the impression of a solid ceiling. To provide access for other trades, we can install an access panel or man hole.
Acoustic ceilings use specially-produced plasterboard for noise suppression.
Passive fire protection (PFP) is an integral component of the structural fire protection and fire safety in a building. PFP attempts to contain fires or slow the spread, through use of a variety of fire-resistant systems and materials we can fire protect your walls and ceilings.
PFP systems must comply with the associated listing and approval use and compliance in order to provide the effectiveness expected by building codes. We Supply and install 100% Polyester (Bonded Wadding) Acoustic Batts for noise issues, the acoustic insulation we install is extremely versatile, easy to install in ceilings, walls or floor cavities to provide superior noise control in all commercial buildings.
Acoustic insulation effectiveness is stated as an Rw rating, a measure of the transmission of airborne sound. The higher the Rw rating the less noise that will be transferred between walls or floors.
Wet areas (bathrooms and kitchens)
We build wet areas using villaboard, a high performance board developed for commercial and residential uses. Because it's moisture resistant it's particularly suitable for use in kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. It can be painted, wallpapered, or tiled to create any interior design you need.
